Charlotte Morgan reaches top 3 in Country
Charlotte Morgan, NVQ Level 3 Beauty Therapy student has made it to the final three of the National Sterex Student of the Year Final. Hundreds of students from colleges from all over Great Britain and Ireland compete for this award. Charlotte’s performance was judged to be of an extremely high standard and the judges said that she missed out on being the overall winner by just one point. Charlotte can now count herself as one of the top 3 student electrologists in the country.
Adam Boycott selected to represent England
South Worcestershire College Sports student, Adam Boycott aged 17 of Evesham, has been selected to represent his country in the World Kick Boxing Championships in Germany in August 2011.

The College has been celebrating the success of its students this academic year at the 2011 Student Awards Evening. The main prize winners were: Return to Learn Student of the Year, Claire Murphy, Student of the Year 14-16, Katie Booth, Apprentice of the Year, Sam Buettner and Student of the Year 16-18, Joseph Underhill.

Special Olympic World Gold Medals for Richard
Sports student, Richard Murphy has won two Gold medals and one Silver medal in the Special Olympic World Games in Athens in July while representing Great Britain. Richard won Gold in the 100 metres and 200 metres and also picked up a Silver medal as part of the 4x400 metre relay team.

Fundraising for Acorns Children's Hospice
Level 3 Beauty Therapy students Rebecca Arthur and Angela Woods welcomed the Fundraising Officer from Acorns Children’s Hospice, Rebecca Edney to the College this week to hand over a cheque for £361.
