Students Make an Exhibition of their Artwork
Art and Design students from South Worcestershire College are inviting the public along to view their work at their end of year Art Show.
Students from the full-time and part-time BTEC Art and Design courses will be exhibiting work in areas such as fashion, textiles, graphics, illustration, craft and computer based artwork.
"The exhibition celebrates the achievements of the art and design students, and for many of them marks the end of their college course and their progression on to university or into employment" said Celia Barradell, Art and Design Course Manager.
Milly Gridley is one of the students who will be exhibiting her work at the Show. "During the course I have really enjoyed trying out different aspects of art and design, such as illustration, graphics and textile design. I enjoyed art classes at school but we weren’t offered the same opportunities to try out these different areas" said Milly.
"Day to day life at college is very different to school – as a college student you are treated as an adult and can manage your own time and workload. This is good experience for me to take to University."
The Art Exhibition at the Davies Road campus in Evesham is open to the public between 10am – 3pm on the 18th, 21st and 22nd June and between 10am – 12pm on the 23rd June. Admission is free.
