South Worcestershire College win the Worcestershire College’s League
For the third time in five years South Worcestershire College are the proud winners of the Worcestershire College’s League.
South Worcestershire College took on NEW College, in an exciting 90 minute game, with both sides competing to win the Worcestershire College's League.
10 minutes in saw NEW College shoot wide of the post, in the 16th minute NEW College took a strike from outside the box and scored.
There was a good response from SW College from a throw in when Jack Goodall swivelled on a bouncing ball and volleyed it in the far corner.
In the 30th minute SW College's slick pass offered a chance to Magee whose shot was saved by an outfield player which resulted in a penalty and a sending off. Goodwin scored from the resulting penalty putting SW College 2-1 up.
A 48th minute strike from Court, after a flick from Smith, called for a smart save from the keeper. Goodwin intercepted the ball in the 50th minute and played a through pass into Smith's run for him to round the keeper and score into an empty net to put them 4-1 up.
During the 62nd minute there was good movement and passing between Goodall and Smith resulting in a great chance that ended in a shot that went narrowly wide of the left hand post.
In the 71st minute Court was substituted for Vann.
82 minutes in and there was good work from the whole SW College team to consolidate the victory.
The 86th minute saw a great run down the right from Moule with a cool, calm finish over the goalkeeper making the score 5-1. The 88th minute saw Lewis score making the final score 6-1 to South Worcestershire College.
