Motor Vehicle Tutors Hit the Road
Motor Vehicle tutors from South Worcestershire College have unearthed their bikes from garages and sheds and dusted them off so that they could help to raise money for St Richard's Hospice.
The six tutors, accompanied by a Beauty Therapy tutor from the college, headed off from the Hospice in Worcester, on an epic 30 mile bike ride, cycling through Kinnersley, Baughton, Eckington, and on to Wadborough before completing the bike ride back at the Hospice.
"I saw a St Richard's Hospice banner inviting people to take part in the sponsored bike ride, and suggested to the staff in the College’s Motor Vehicle Department that we join in" said Motor Vehicle tutor Jon Stone. "We all know people who have had close links with the Hospice and we felt that this was something we would like to help with."
"We have all had great fun training together" said Jon. "The bike ride itself was hard work, but the sun shone on us and the couple of scheduled refreshment stops at local pubs helped to motivate us."
In total the staff from the College raised £653.53 for St Richard's Hospice.
