Technology
The Technology Academy encompasses a variety of full time programmes, apprenticeship routes and short technical courses based around vocational skills. These are ideally suited to people who wish to gain employment, increase their knowledge of a subject or to retrain for a career change.
The Technology Academy can offer you high quality training in AutoCAD, Heating and Ventilation, Land Based Service Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Motor Vehicle Engineering and an array of professional courses within the Energy Training Centre.
AutoCAD
AutoCAD courses offer you the chance to either experience CAD hands on with the introduction course or to undertake a certified course to gain a qualification designed for Engineers, Graphic Designers, Architects and Draughtspersons.
Heating and Ventilation
Heating and Ventilation courses offer practical training for learners wishing to develop skills in plumbing and heating systems in order to work as domestic heating engineers. Training is available either full time or through an apprenticeship and is undertaken in a new, custom built practical training facility by experienced staff.
Land Based Service Engineering
Land Based Service Engineering is a work based qualification, delivered nationally for people involved with the ground care industry. You will be trained at our specialist centre, supported by some of the leading equipment manufacturers by an experienced tutor with relevant industrial experience. Local accommodation is available for learners travelling from other areas of the country.
Mechanical Engineering
Mechanical Engineering programmes are available either full time or via apprenticeships and provide practical courses that will teach you general engineering skills that can lead to employment opportunities in manufacture and maintenance.
Motor Vehicle Engineering
Motor Vehicle Engineering offers multiple opportunities across all levels for people either interested in getting into the industry, right through to current practitioners wishing to update their skills or learn new technologies. Learners have access to well equipped, modern workshops on a full time programme, evening courses or via an apprenticeship.
The Energy Centre
The Energy Centre offers professional qualifications for the natural gas LPG and oil industries. Training programs are available for renewals of existing qualifications plus new entrants wishing to change career. Training programs are also available in electricity and renewable energies for professionals updating or extending scope. The energy centre is able to create bespoke courses for individual companies which are catered to meet the customer's requirements.
