If you want a career in hairdressing, this one year course will get you off to a flying start, giving you both experience and a recognised qualification. It offers a good balance of practical and theoretical work.

What qualifications do I need?
- A Level 2 Hairdressing qualification
- Good communication skills, an outgoing personality and the ability to work as part of a team
- Entry for all students is subject to a successful interview

How will I be studying?
Students will be developing and demonstrating their skills in the College's salons following demonstrations. Level 3 students are expected to run and maintain a commercial salon with a professional approach.
In addition, Level 3 theory input is delivered in a classroom environment.
Students will be assessed through practical assessments within the College salon, assignment work and online exams.
Where can I move on to after this course?
Once qualified, you can gain employment as a hairdresser, an assessor and/or Salon Manager. Other opportunities include progression on to a Level 4 qualification or teaching qualification to be able to progress into teaching.
