This is a one year course on offer at the Evesham campus and the Malvern campus.

What qualifications do I need?
- You should have successfully completed an NVQ or equivalent Level 2 Beauty Therapy qualification.
- You may also be required to have suitable references and will be expected to have a successful interview in order to be offered a place on this course.
What’s involved?
You will study a range of units including:
- Advanced facial electrical treatments, body electrical contouring and refining treatments, Swedish massage techniques, indian head massage, electrolysis and semi permanent eyelash extensions.
- Therapy to include related anatomy and physiology
How will I be studying?
- You will gain practical experience by performing treatments and case studies on members of the public within the College’s training salons
- Theory lessons will include related beauty theory, anatomy and physiology, salon management and a Functional Skill
- You may be required to attend a work placement to enhance your studies
Are any trips involved?
During your study you may have the opportunity to attend Beauty Trade Shows, visit 4 star-5 star Cruise Liners docked at Southampton and attend potential Universities offering Beauty and Spa management. There may also be opportunity to attend residential and day trips to local Health Spas.
What about assessments?
You will be continually assessed throughout your training in all practical subjects. This is normally performed on members of the public. There are a number of written assignments to complete and exams in all areas of study. A portfolio of evidence is built throughout the year to evidence your competence to the awarding body and any prospective employer.
Are there any work placements?
Students are expected to find and complete one week of work placement during their training.
Are there any other opportunities?
There will also be opportunity to make a positive contribution to the community in events designed to raise money for various charities throughout the year.
Where can I move on to after this course?
The College has excellent relationships with high calibre employers and has a good success rate in employment in salons, health spas and cruise liners upon completion.
Students can also continue studying in areas such as Foundation Degrees in Spa/Salon Management and Media/Theatrical Make Up or similar.
