What qualifications do I need?
- A minimum of five GCSEs at grade A*-C, a relevant NVQ or an Intermediate programme or relevant work experience
- All applicants must have a successful interview
- Students must have a valid passport at the start of the course
What's involved?
The twelve subjects you will study may include Marketing, Tour Operations, Retail Travel Operations, Cabin Crew and Event Management. You will also study one Functional Skill in each year.
How will I be studying?
The programme involves a broad range of teaching and learning including lectures, workshops, guest speakers, trips, visits and residentials both in the UK and overseas (all of these are a compulsory part of the course and must be paid for in advance).
You can expect a practical approach to your studies and you will be required to undertake independent study and additional research.
All units are portfolio assessed. The assessments are designed to be practical and vocationally relevant, involving independent research and will include reports, presentations, individuals and group work.
Whare can I move on to after this course?
On successful completion of this course you gain the Level 3 Diploma in Travel and Tourism, a qualification equivalent to two A Levels. This wil enable you to enter directly into the world of work within a Travel and Tourism and/or Business organisation or progress to Higher Education on an HND, Foundation Degree or Degree programme.
