A 'computers only' course which provides an alternative route to three full A Levels. this is an advanced level course fully recognised by Universities and both local and national computing and IT employers.

What qualifications do I need?

You will need five GCSEs at Grade C (or above) to include English and preferably Maths, or a BTEC Level 2 Diploma achieved at Merit, or equivalent, and a successful interview.

What's involved?

Areas of study include: modern computer hardware and networking, Internet and Web design, computer programming and technical support.

You will also be studying one Functional Skill in each year.

How will I be studying?

The course is taught through lectures and practical exercises using a large selection of hardware components and software packages in a custom designed and well equipped IT suite.

Where can I move on to after this course?

Following successful completion of this course progression can be made on to HND or degree level courses or employment in the computer industry in a variety of areas.
