What qualifications do I need?

No formal qualifications are required, however all applicants will need to have a successful interview.

What's involved?

You will study a range of units including:

Creative activities for children
Job opportunities in Health and Social care
Investigating rights and responsibilities
Personal care in Health and Social Care
Promoting healthy eating in Care
You will also be studying three Functional Skills in English, Maths and ICT

This course also provides the opportunity to develop those skills required for future employment such as a qualification in Personal and Social Development.

How will I be studying?

You will learn by completing projects and assignments. You will also be developing the skills you need to start a career or progress onto a Level 2 Health and Social Care or Childcare course.

Where can I move on to after this course?

Having demonstrated a sound commitment to attending College and developing a good work ethic the most common progression route is for students to move onto one of the Level 2 courses in Health and Social Care or Childcare.
