What qualifications do I need?
No formal qualifications are required, however all applicants will need to have a successful interview.
What's involved?
You will study a range of units including:
- Creative activities for children
- Job opportunities in Health and Social care
- Investigating rights and responsibilities
- Personal care in Health and Social Care
- Promoting healthy eating in Care
- You will also be studying three Functional Skills in English, Maths and ICT
This course also provides the opportunity to develop those skills required for future employment such as a qualification in Personal and Social Development.
How will I be studying?
You will learn by completing projects and assignments. You will also be developing the skills you need to start a career or progress onto a Level 2 Health and Social Care or Childcare course.
Where can I move on to after this course?
Having demonstrated a sound commitment to attending College and developing a good work ethic the most common progression route is for students to move onto one of the Level 2 courses in Health and Social Care or Childcare.
