The Football Academy is designed to complement the full-time Sports courses (students from other full-time courses are also able to join the Football Academy if their own course timetable allows).
The Football Academy provides an ideal opportunity for students who are studying a full-time course, to participate in a further programme enabling them to develop their football skills.

What qualifications do I need?
- Entry requirements are dependent upon the full-time course that you are studying alongside the Football Academy
- Applicants must demontsrate competence and skills in the football trials, which are usually held in July. Continued membership of the Academy relies on academic performance throughout the year
What's involved?
Players will undertake a football trial, usually held in July, and will be required to have good levels of fitness and good basic football skills.
You will participate in three football sessions with a professional UEFA coach and two fitness training sessions each week.
What's next?
You may be able to join a semi professional club if you reach the required standard in football.
