The Level 2 Apprenticeship is designed for sixteen to twenty-four year olds just starting a career in administration or those with little experience in the administration role.

What are the entry requirements?
There are no formal entry requirements. However you will need to be in full-time work (usually employed status) and will come into college one day per week.
What does the Apprenticeship cover?
The Level 2 programme includes compulsory units around the areas of working in a business environment and communication, and optional units which learners can select based on the individual job role and/or career/development needs. The optional units include IT units, specialised units and general administration units.
How long does it take?
The course usually takes one year to eighteen months although this depends upon the individual.
How is the course assessed?
Assessments are carried out in the workplace by a Qualified Assessor. They include a range of written and practical tasks. Units are achieved by written tasks and assessments by observation of the candidate in the workplace. There are also a series of externally set and marked tests to achieve the technical certificate.
What will I achieve and where do I go next?
On successful completion of the course you will achieve the Level 2 Administration Apprenticeship, Functional Skills, Technical Certificate and relevant work experience.
Following this course you may wish to be considered for a Level 3 Administration Apprenticeship (including the Technical Certificate and Functional Skills).
What are the costs involved?
Learners over the age of 19 may be required to pay a fee; this is dependant upon prior qualifications obtained.
